- The Republic of San Marino is considered the oldest "Republic" of the World and was founded in 301 AD;
- San Marino has an area of 61 sq.km.
- The Heads of State called two Captains Regent with post six months (the shortest global mandate); Parliament called Great and General Council and consists of 60 members.
-Since 2008, the historic city of San Marino and Mount Titano were included among the UNESCO World Heritage as "testimony to the continuance of a free republic since the Middle Ages."
